Each Oracle COREid Federation instance can be preconfigured to link back to the portal, distributed to partners, and then installed and activated in a matter of hours, not weeks or months.Privacy regulations such as HIPAA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley require companies to ensure access control to private data for internal employees and employees of business partners. Compliance with these regulations can be breached if companies do not notify their partner of an employee resignation or termination, and the partner fails to deactivate that employee account in the portal. Oracle COREid Federation removes this common compliance risk, by automatically locking out partners' employees from the portal. Also, with no need to maintain multiple copies of user credentials, the risk of password theft is dramatically decreased.With Oracle COREid Federation, the identity provider maintains the user information and only shares the data that is required by the application provider for authorization. As a result, with fewer instances of user information is stored ensuring security is tighter for the service providers while also offering a smooth user experience for the identity provider customers, all while lowering the cost of user administration.
