E-Mail License – Minimum Requirements



Several Borland products require you to purchase 1 Box product and 5 e-mail license (Total 6 copies) to receive a serial number that will cover all 6 users.

These products are:

  • JBuilder 2005 Enterprise, Developer - Named New User and Upgrade
  • JBuilder X Enterprise, Developer - Named New User and Upgrade
  • C++ Builder X Enterprise, Developer - Named New User and Upgrade
  • C++ Builder 6 Enterprise, Professional - Named New User and Upgrade
  • Delphi 2005 Architect, Enterprise, Professional - Named New User and Upgrade
  • Delphi 8 Architect, Enterprise, Professional - Named New User and Upgrade
  • Kylix 3 Enterprise, Professional - Named New User and Upgrade
  • JBuilder 2005 and JBuilder X - Named New User and Upgrade

Additional Product Purchase Requirements



Some Borland products do require a minimum purchase. They are listed below:

  • Kylix Professional - New User and Upgrade – 4 box product minimum
  • StarTeam 2005 Standard – Named New User 10 License Minimum
  • Purchases accumulate toward higher membership levels

Software Support Minimum Purchase Requirements



Software Assurance:



Software Assurance provides 1 year of upgrades and 3 incidents of email and web technical support per user license.

Advantage Support:



Advantage Support provides 1 year of upgrades and unlimited incidents of email, phone and web technical support for up to 2 caller names per support contract.

Premium Support:



Premium Support provides 1 year of upgrades and unlimited incidents of email, phone and web technical support for up to 5 caller names per contract. Premium Support also provides critical fixes for serverity-one* issues. (*Severity-one is defined as a system in production that has gone down or the application release date is within a short period of time and critical development has stopped.).
